Protecting Your Legacy. Building Its Future.
Perseverantia Equity Partners exists to acquire, personally lead and grow one exceptional business, offering business owners a succession solution founded on trust, continuity and long-term commitment.
"We invest in businesses built to last — not to sell."
Perseverantia Equity Partners is an entrepreneurial investment business focused on acquiring and leading one exceptional company, founded by John Maddox, an experienced investor and operator seeking to preserve the legacy of an exceptional business while supporting its long-term growth.
We focus on established, owner-managed businesses headquartered in the South East of England — where John can be genuinely present and hands-on as CEO. The business itself can trade across the UK or internationally; what matters is that the headquarters is within a practical commuting distance of West Sussex.
Our approach is not transactional. We take the time to understand the history, culture, and ambition of every business we consider — and we bring that same depth of commitment to every partnership we form. Through previous acquisition work, we have established relationships with a committed network of experienced private investors who share our long-term philosophy — providing a solid foundation from which to move quickly and efficiently when the right opportunity arises.
Investment Focus
Where We Invest
What We Buy
We are looking to acquire one established, owner-managed business generating c.£500k or more in EBITDA — where a founder is ready to transition and where our hands-on involvement can take the business to its next stage.
Geography
South East England. We look for businesses headquartered within commuting distance of West Sussex — the business can trade anywhere, but we need to be present at HQ.
Our Approach
We acquire and operate one business at a time. We are active, hands-on partners — not passive capital providers.
